Silence Doesn't Work Here

It’s been another busy day. I’m off to pick up a shift at the restaurant and then out for a concert to see Sophie’s band. Despite being fired earlier this fall, the restaurant asked me back to help out while they’re short-staffed. I think Ted probably had a hand in it. I worked there yesterday as well, and aside from a little problem with the fryer (just a minor burn, nothing to bother anyone about), everything went well. Maybe this will turn into a regular job.

I’m looking forward to seeing Sophie, but am a bit anxious about having another ‘date’ at a bar. Seems there’s always someone competing for her attention. Oh well, gotta focus on the positives. I’m sure tonight will be fun and have me looking forward to the weekend.

About Me

I've never been much of a talker. That makes relationships tricky for me. One of my exes put it best. She said it just takes a long time to get comfortable with me. Libraries and movie theatres are my favourite places to hang out. I live in an apartment downtown, and I think I make an excellent neighbour. I find my biggest challenge lately is a job. I just can't seem to keep one.
